Radek Dvorak signs on for two more years

July 1st, 2009

Whilst the details have not been fully released, several sources are claiming that the Panthers have re-signed F Radek Dvorak. He has according to reports signed a new 2-year deal with Florida. Apparently he will earn $1.7 million each year. The signing of Dvorak will be welcomed by most Cats’ fans as he had a productive previous season and with his versatility can play in many different game-situations.

The veteran winger was originally drafted by the Panthers and his experience is a valuable asset in the organisation. Speculation now will focus on whether Florida can re-sign fellow veteran winger Ville Peltonen also. The duo played well together and had a great chemistry with centerman Gregory Campbell. The trio also played key penalty killing minutes for the team. Keeping these three players together must be seen as a priority for the club.
