I was really quite chuffed when I saw that DeBoer had demoted Shawn Matthias after the kid's two terrific games prior to the Penguins one. Pete's whole philosophy is flawed; he says one thing but does another - he constantly claims that a player needs to earn his ice time, and yet that is not the case with Shawn - he had earned the right to play on the top two lines, and yet he's demoted. Doesn't make sense. DeBoer undoubtedly has his favorites. In fact the Panthers will soon look like Deboer's Junior team: Weiss, Oreskovich, Campbell, Duco, will be the top forwards if this continues... Talk about favoritism! @Bill
