Panthers Forced to Pay Compensation for Dadonov?

The latest to come out from Russia is that Evgeni Dadonov’s club, Traktor Chelyabinsk, will be seeking a $500.000 dollar compensation from the Panthers for “stealing” their talented forward.

Dadonov’s Proposed Panthers Deal Contested by KHL Club

New Cats had other options – Glass to Vancouver

Panthers have Dollars, but not Tanguay, Murphs a Devil

Despite rumors to the opposite effect, star winger Alex Tanguay has not signed with the Panthers. The Cats do however have dollars to spend, according to inter-rim GM Randy Sexton. Meanwhile, the former Florida defenseman Cory Murphy ahs signed with the NJ Devils.

A Minor Move and Release of Season Schedule

Panthers sign another AHL’r

The Florida Panthers have signed RW Graham Mink to a 2-year contract. The winger played for Washington’s farm team Hershey last year and was part of the team there that won the Calder Cup. He may very well have a shot at playing on the Panthers fourth line this coming season, but most likely this deal has made with an eye on helping the Rochester Americans achieve some success in the AHL.

Janis Sprukts Snared in Panthers’ Amerk Decoy

Janis Sprukts was hoping to play in the NHL, when he signed a 1-year deal with the Florida Panthers this summer, but has found himself playing all (but one) game with Rochester Americans in the AHL instead. The franchise is now loaning the players to the Latvian National Team for Olympic Qualifying games, but the gesture is unlikely to convince the player to sign a new contract with the organization – if that is indeed what they were hoping…
